Electrical Engineering Intern

Help wire, test, and develop the control systems behind our construction robots.

A paid internship working alongside our electrical and controls team on the systems that power, sense, and coordinate Verustruct’s robotic construction platform.

About the Internship

Verustruct is hiring a paid electrical engineering intern to support the development, assembly, and testing of electrical systems for our next-generation construction robots. You’ll work with our hardware and controls team on power distribution, sensor integration, actuator control, wiring, and prototype bring-up for machines designed and built in-house.

This is a hands-on role for someone excited by robotics, industrial automation, controls, and building real hardware in a fast-moving startup environment.

What You'll Do

  • Support schematic capture, wiring diagrams, harness design, and electrical panel layout for robotic construction subsystems
  • Assemble, wire, test, and debug electrical hardware on prototype machines
  • Integrate sensors, actuators, motor controllers, and control electronics into our motion/control architecture
  • Assist with bench testing, troubleshooting, and documentation for prototype electrical systems
  • Work closely with mechanical, controls, and software engineers to help turn designs into functioning hardware

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, robotics, mechatronics, or a related field
  • Familiar with schematics, basic power systems, sensors, actuators, and bench instrumentation
  • Comfortable working hands-on with wiring, soldering, connectors, multimeters, oscilloscopes, or prototype electronics
  • Excited to work on real robotic systems in a shop/lab environment
  • Bonus: experience with industrial controls, PLCs, CAN communication, motor control, embedded systems, or robotics
